Creating Your Portrait

The first step to creating your custom portraits is to schedule a consultation and portrait planning session. This is your opportunity to view my portfolios which will give you ideas of how to design your portrait session. This also gives me the opportunity to receive your ideas of how you would like your portraits to reflect your personal taste. We will discuss location, flow, how to dress, and choosing black and white or color. At this time we will schedule your actual session date and time. I will be happy to give you a price list at the time of the consultation.

I create all of my portraits using film and natural light. I love the purity of both! Sessions are 50% planning and 50% go with the flow. Sessions usually take around 1 1/2 hours. No rushing, it's all about having fun! Within a week I will have your proof prints ready for viewing and ordering. Proofs do not leave the studio. After placing an order you may expect your enlargements back within 3 weeks. The portrait creation fee is due at the time of the session. A 50% deposit is due when you place an order and the remaining balance is due at the time of delivery. The portrait creation fee is $150 for local sessions. Session fees will be more if travel is required to an out of town location and for family reunions. Packages start at $350.
